Why Tengah HQ

Why Tengah Parents Start Little Artist at Our HQ Studio

Tengah is Singapore's youngest town — and our headquarters was built with its littlest artists in mind.

👶

Built for First-Time Artists

Sessions are structured around 2.5–5 year old attention spans — short guided activities, lots of hands-on making, zero pressure.

🏢

A Dedicated Little Artist Room

Three combined units mean toddlers have their own room — calm, contained and set up at their height, away from the older classes.

🚶

Stroller-Friendly & Street-Level

Ground-floor entrance on Plantation Village Retail Street — walk in with the pram. No mall crowds, no escalators.

☀️

Weekend Mornings from 9am

The 9am weekend start suits early-rising toddlers — class done before nap time, with the day still ahead of you.

👩‍🎨

Guided by Full-Time Educators

Every session is led by Coloury Art's full-time instructors, following an early-years approach designed by our HQ curriculum team.

🧼

Mess Is Our Job

Paints, clay, aprons and clean-up are all provided — your toddler explores freely, and you go home clean.

Common Questions

Little Artist at Tengah — FAQs

Is 2.5 really old enough to start art classes?

Yes — at this age it's about exploration, not technique. Little Artist sessions are sensory-first and paced for toddler attention spans, in groups of just 4–8 with an instructor guiding every step. Most children settle in within the first one or two sessions.

What happens in a Little Artist class?

A short welcome and warm-up, a sensory exploration (finger paint, textures, clay), one guided make-and-take project, and a little show-and-tell at the end. Sessions are kept short and structured so toddlers stay engaged from start to finish.

Will my toddler get messy?

That's the plan — and it's all on us. Aprons, washable paints and clean-up are provided, so just dress your child comfortably and we'll handle the rest.

When do toddler classes run at Tengah?

Weekend mornings from 9am (Sat–Sun) are the most popular slots, with weekday afternoon sessions from 1pm (Mon–Fri). WhatsApp us at 8922 2848 for this term's exact timetable.

Is the studio easy to reach with a stroller?

Yes — we're on the ground floor of Plantation Village Retail Street (127A Plantation Crescent) with a street-level entrance, HDB parking in the estate, and bus links from Bukit Batok, Choa Chu Kang and Jurong East interchanges.

What comes after Little Artist?

At age six, children move up to Creative Art (Ages 6–12) at the same Tengah studio — a seamless step up in a familiar environment. See the Creative Art page for what comes next.
